What is Grace's Place?

Grace’s Place is a licensed emergency shelter, for children ages birth to 18 years old, who can receive care when their family is encountering any situation which could lead to loss of employment, loss of shelter or a child’s basic needs going unmet – in addition to any situation that could potentially lead to a child being abused and/or neglected.

A Brief History

Grace’s Place was established as a non-profit 501(c)3 in December 2010, opening their first location in Washington, where up to 6 children, ages birth to 12 years old, received 24/7 care for up to 30 days at a time. After renovations in 2017 at the Washington location, up to 8 children ages birth to 18 years old, can receive care 24/7 for up to 30 days at a time. In spring 2020, Grace’s Place will be opening their second location, in Union, where up to an additional 6 children, ages birth to 18 years old, can receive 24/7 care for up to 30 days at a time. Since opening their doors, Grace’s Place has provided care to over 800 children.
